My passion for financial planning began when I was looking for my own advisor to help me with my personal financial objectives. It was then that I learned about the fee-only concept, and I was sold immediately. I believe that fee-only firms provide a simple piece of mind for both clients and advisors through more transparency and fewer conflicts of interest.
With this experience in mind, I began the journey to become a Certified Financial Planner™ and start my own fee-only firm, FUNd2Vida. The name is a mix of English and Spanish, and it means "Fund your Life".

I was born in Granada (Spain), and raised in a small town in the metro area of Barcelona called Gava. I attended the University of Barcelona, which is considered one of the best universities in Spain with more than 500 years of history. It was therewhere I obtained my degree in Economics and Business Administration.
I started waiting tables in a beach restaurant when I was a teenager to pay for college and fund the, by that time, one year mandatory military service. After college, I was hired by a small cement manufacturing company in Barcelona to help them with accounting. About three years later, the company was acquired by CEMEX, one of the top building materials companies worldwide with headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico. With them, I had the privilege to fulfill different management roles in three different continents during more than two decades, learning from many exceptional and culturally diverse people.
I was transfered to Houston in 2004, where I became an American citizen. After living here since, Houston is what we call home.
I am married to Yvonne, a seasoned flight attendant with one of the major airlines, and a stock market fan. We both love to travel overseas when possible and visit our extended family in Canada, Chile, Spain, or Scotland. Recently, due to the pandemic and the mobility restrictions, we have been forced to learn how to cook and to enjoy our long walks in the nearby parks.
